Vikrant Mudaliar Exits Dream Sports

Mudaliar exits Dream Sports after more than eight years, having played a key role in shaping the growth and brand journey of Dream11.

Vikrant Mudaliar, one of the key marketing leaders behind Dream11’s brand journey, has stepped down from Dream Sports after spending more than eight years with the company.

Mudaliar joined Dream Sports in 2018 as Chief Marketing Officer of Dream11, at a time when fantasy sports was steadily gaining traction in India. He was instrumental over the years in determining the brand’s marketing plan, therefore enabling Dream11 to develop into among the most well-known sports-tech platforms in the nation. His time there coincided with the company’s quick growth, significant athletic alliances, and growing consumer acceptance.

Mudaliar was the chief marketing officer at Yatra for almost three years before joining Dream Sports, guiding the travel website’s marketing campaigns.

His career covers leadership positions in many different sectors. Before Yatra, he was Lenskart.com’s Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, helping the company develop throughout its early expansion stage. Additionally serving as Vice President – Brand Marketing at Tata Sky, he was instrumental in helping the business to improve its brand presence in the very competitive DTH industry.

Early in his career, Mudaliar worked for General Motors, so diversifying his marketing experience with automotive knowledge.

Mudaliar has developed a reputation for driving brand expansion across industries in travel, eyewear, media, automotive, and sports technology. Though his next move is still under wraps, his departure ends a major chapter at Dream Sports and is probably to be closely followed by startup and advertising sector.
