Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (Z) has issued an advisory to hotels, commercial establishments, and connected partners in India, reminding them of the FIFA World Cup 2026’s intellectual property and broadcasting restrictions.
The firm stated that the names “FIFA”, “World Cup 2026”, and all FIFA emblems are protected trademarks and intellectual property. They cannot be used, duplicated, or exhibited in promotional material, commercials, or commercial communications without permission.This is to notify all hotels, business enterprises, and affiliated partners in India that:
“The words “FIFA”, “World Cup 2026″, and all FIFA logos are trademarked and protected intellectual property.”

According to the guideline, only legally licensed partners and approved businesses may utilize FIFA trademarks and branding. It also requires hotels and commercial establishments to broadcast FIFA World Cup 2026 programming exclusively through Zee’s authorized platform.
The firm noted that “only officially licensed partners and authorised entities are permitted to use FIFA trademarks and branding.”
Zee is the exclusive streaming partner for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in India. All hotels and commercial establishments must comply by streaming FIFA World Cup 2026 material exclusively via Zee’s authorized platform.”
According to the advice, infractions may result in legal action, such as penalties, service suspensions, or other measures under relevant intellectual property and broadcasting regulations.
It stated that “any violation of these guidelines may result in legal consequences, including penalties, suspension of services, or further action under applicable intellectual property and broadcasting laws.”
All establishments are recommended to take caution and fully follow these guidelines.
