Google is rolling out Gemini Spark, an AI agent that can conduct basic digital chores on users’ behalf, to Google AI Pro members in India over the coming several weeks.

Spark is meant to run in the background and integrate with Google Workspace tools such as Gmail, Docs, and Sheets. Using Google’s cloud infrastructure, it can continue to operate while a laptop or phone is closed or locked.

The tool is available to Google AI Ultra and Pro subscribers and runs on Gemini 3.6 Flash. Spark, unlike other AI assistants, is meant to accomplish tasks depending on human directions.

Users have the option of activating Spark or restricting its access to specific apps. The gadget also asks for clearance before doing high-risk acts like spending money or sending emails.

Spark may be used to organize travel information from booking confirmation emails into a Google Sheet, identify nearby events and add them to a calendar, and collect future activities into a Google Doc.

Spark may also be programmed to look for open indoor pickleball courts at predetermined times and warn users based on weather conditions.

Spark allows organizations to read consumer questions, generate replies proposing suitable services and price bundles, and preserve the messages as drafts.

Users can also request that the model assess their prior emails and provide a writing style guide. That guidance may then be saved as a reusable skill for later email creation.

The model is part of its transition to AI agents who can utilize knowledge and resources to execute tasks for users rather than simply answering inquiries.
