SpeakX has named former India captain Mahindra Singh Dhoni as its brand ambassador, after his recent investment in the English-speaking platform.
The firm has also released a digital video ad titled “Muh Khol, English Bol,” which features Dhoni. The campaign focuses on those who are hesitant to answer when spoken to in English and avoid discussions due to fear of making errors.
The ad was created in collaboration with Mumbai-based creative firm ZeroFifty Mediaworks, the brand’s strategic creative partner. The campaign will also include visual broadcast spots.
The site focuses on spoken English practice, with AI-powered chats, rapid feedback, and progress monitoring. It is designed for people who have learned English but struggle to utilize the language in everyday circumstances.
Arpit Mittal, CEO & Founder of SpeakX, commented on the cooperation, saying, “SpeakX was founded on a simple belief: individuals should not be prevented from fully engaging in the life they are creating because of their spoken English. Most Indians have studied English for years, but they have rarely had the opportunity to practise speaking without fear of being criticized. ‘Muh Khol, English Bol’ brings this concept to life in a straightforward, approachable, and humane manner, inspiring individuals to take the first step. MS Dhoni brings his natural confidence and energy to the campaign, and his investment in SpeakX and role as Brand Ambassador is a strong endorsement of both the problem we’re solving and the opportunity ahead.”
MS Dhoni stated of his affiliation with the company: “Confidence doesn’t come from knowing more; it comes from putting yourself out there, practising and doing it again. I liked how this campaign brings that very real insight to life in a simple and relatable way. SpeakX gives people a space to practise English speaking and build confidence in real-life situations. I’m happy to be part of the journey and encourage learners as they make progress in the app.”
Dhoni’s collaboration with SpeakX will also involve app-based activities in which he will recognize student progress and encourage users as they approach milestones.
