OpenAI has advertised for a Head of Scaled Ads Solutions and a Global Vendor Manager, Ads, indicating that the company intends to establish a structured reseller and vendor network for its advertising business.
OpenAI is growing its advertising business by hiring two senior executives who will focus on creating and managing its partner ecosystem, according to a media report..
The company’s employment page now includes opportunities for a Head of Scaled Ads Solutions and a Global Vendor Manager, Ads, according to media reports. The jobs hint that OpenAI is establishing a structured reseller and vendor network as it expands its advertising business.
The Head of Scaled Ads Solutions is responsible for the company’s reseller strategy, which includes choosing vendor partners, defining priority markets, handling requests for proposals (RFPs) and contracts, and reviewing partner performance. The post will report to the Vice President of Global Ads Solutions.
The Global Vendor Manager, Ads, will be in charge of executing the strategy across regions and partner sites, including governance, forecasting, quality assurance, and capacity planning.
OpenAI has collaborated with ad tech firms such as Criteo, LiveRamp, and StackAdapt while also creating its own advertising infrastructure. The new positions imply that the corporation is shifting from individual vendor agreements to a more comprehensive operating model that includes direct sales, resellers, and outsourced partners.
Instead than depending primarily on direct sales, the framework is similar to a hybrid commercial approach.
The expansion comes after OpenAI named former Meta executive David Dugan as Vice President of Global Ads Solutions in March 2026. The business has also employed other former Meta advertising professionals.
